About Our Maternal Wellness Initiative
The Maternal Wellness & Health Equity Initiative of the Curtrina Hughes Foundation, founded by Dr. Curtrina F. Strozier, MD, is dedicated to empowering women and girls with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive. Through reproductive health education, maternal wellness programs, and preventive care initiatives, CHF addresses disparities that too often affect underserved communities. By bridging clinical expertise with community outreach, this initiative provides culturally competent health programming that equips women and families with tools for healthier pregnancies, stronger wellness outcomes, and generational empowerment.
Why Maternal
Wellness Matters
Maternal wellness is the foundation of strong families and healthy communities. When women and girls have access to education, resources, and equitable care, they are empowered to make informed decisions that improve lifelong health outcomes. At the Curtrina Hughes Foundation, we believe investing in maternal wellness not only saves lives but also creates a ripple effect—building healthier generations and closing critical gaps in women’s health equity.
Get Involved
You can play a vital role in advancing maternal wellness and health equity for women and girls. Whether through donations, corporate sponsorships, or volunteering, your support helps the Curtrina Hughes Foundation expand programs, fund scholarships, and empower communities with the tools to thrive. Together, we can close gaps and create lasting change.
Impact Goals
At the Curtrina Hughes Foundation, our impact goals focus on creating measurable change in women’s health and education. We are committed to expanding maternal wellness programs for women and girls, awarding scholarships to underrepresented students in premed and STEM fields, and growing GirlTalkWithDrC to reach thousands more through workshops and digital education. By setting clear goals, we ensure that every donation, partnership, and program builds a healthier, more equitable future.
